Underground car park

In Louvain-la-Neuve, we sheet-piled the building pit of the biggest underground car park of the Benelux (for no less than 3285 cars). This car park is not only big but also directly connected to the railway station and the E411 highway.

We realised the sheet-piling of the building pit, which is situated along a road, using a secant pile wall. For this, we installed 628 piles of 630 mm. The length of these piles varies from 8 to 19 metres. The 19m-piles are the longest of this diameter that have ever been used in the Benelux. The sheet pile wall contains no less than 3,271 cubic metres of concrete.
