New quay wall
A successful combination!
On the east side of the Baltic Sea in Poland, the capacity of the container terminal was doubled. Since 2016, the most gigantic container ships can moor in the biggest deep-water terminal of the Baltic Sea. Soetaert was involved in the construction of the new quay wall. Our expertise was called upon because we are among the very few in Europe that can execute such heavy combi-walls. We placed over 200 tubular piles and intermediate sheet piles, a wing wall, a temporary jetty and a temporary cofferdam of 192 sheet piles up to 6 metre below water.
